Who Is Glenn Crider?
Designer of the 2008 USPS Christmas Stamps...
Self-taught in most aspects of my artistry, I am one of only a handful of individuals in North America capable of producing nutcrackers and other German style crafts from start to finish. Having been laid off from a very good IT job in 2009, I started my own business (TRC Designs, Inc.) making Christmas Decorations in my garage with one employee and one laser engraver. It was in my second year that I designed a unique line of Christmas ornaments called "Ginger Cottages". Two years later, Cracker Barrel Old Country Store discovered our products and their first order was huge with 650 stores to stock inventory. Needless to say, this order was too large for a one-man operation, so we declined that first order to accept the following year scaling to ship two tractor trailers to CBOCS.
We rode that "rocket ship" for ten years to sell the Ginger Cottage brand to Old World Christmas in 2019. With the sale, we shut down production and OWC hired me to transition and design for them for four years. In October of 2024, my "non-compete" contract with OWC has now expired as I begin my "second act" to again make these world class Bavarian Style products.
